is a multidisciplinary design practice founded by Lucia and Ito in Minneapolis, MN since 2018.


Andrew Lucia is a designer, artist and academic working predominantly in the domain of architecture.

Andrew is a co-founding principal in the architecture and design practice LUCITO. Prior, he has worked in the offices of su11 architecture+design, Ruy Klein, and Barkow Leibinger Architects, Keller Easterling Architect, Yunker+Asmus Architects and M+A Architecture.

Andrew was a Visiting Scholar at the Azrieli School of Architecture and Urbanism, Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada (Spring 2018). He recently held the position of Cass Gilbert Visiting Assistant Professor (2015-2017) in the School of Architecture, College of Design, University of Minnesota, during which he realized the extensive research project A Catalog of Difference. Prior, Lucia was a visiting lecturer and critic at Cornell University, AAP (2011-2015), facutly in Visual Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Design (2008-2011), and was a founding member and Senior Researcher within LabStudio (now the Sabin Design Lab, Cornell) from 2008-2015.

Lucia received his Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania (2008) and his B.A. in Architecture from the University of Minnesota (2001).

ITO, iroha

いとう いろは

Iroha Ito is a co-founding principal in the architecture and design practice LUCITO. She previously worked at various offices in Japan and the U.S. including Bade Stageberg Cox, Suzumori Architecture, CODA, Kengo Kuma and Associates, Slade Architecture, and Waro Kishi + K.Associates Architects.

Ito received her Master of Architecture from the Cornell University AAP (2015) and her B.S. in Architectural Studies from the Louisiana Tech University (2011). She also attended M.Arch program at the Syracuse University School of Architecture in 2012.
